Early Winter 2008

The long and lingering fall has finally migrating into a mild (so far) early winter. Still, the colors remain. The creek bed is filled with yellow leaved trees, something not seen in previous years. The creek bed is changing. The private beach that has been here as long as I have seems to be disappearing as nature reclaims the waterway for her own.

When he left for Los Angeles to find fame and fortune, my son left me his digital camera. It lacks the precision and the zoom capability of the one I lost to drowning a few weeks ago, but as you can tell, it has its merits.

These photos were taken during the period of Dec 22 through Dec 26, 2008.
